James Rodger Scott – formerly of McLeansboro

54-year-old James Rodger Scott formerly of McLeansboro, passed away Sunday, April 5 at the Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

He was born August 18, 1965 in Elgin, IL to Jimmy Vincent and Ruby Rowena (Hampton) Scott.  James worked as a general laborer and enjoyed participating in demolition derbies. 
 
James is survived by three sons: James Rowdy Scott of Flora, IL, Justin Case Scott of Benton, IL and Brandon Rodger Scott who is currently serving in the U.S. Army; one sister, Kim (Greg) Stover of Mt. Vernon, IL; one granddaughter, Addalyn Scott and one more on the way.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents. 
 
No formal memorial services are to be held at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the donors choice and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
