78-year-old Dahlgren resident Joann Webber died at 12:35 a.m. on Sunday (august 30th) at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Dahlgren Baptist Church and worked as a Deli Clerk at Kroger in Mt. Vernon. She loved to cook, spend time with her grandchildren, and traveling to the “Smokie Mountains.”
She was born on January 5, 1942 in Dahlgren to Charles and Opal (Trotter) Cross.
Joan Webber is survived by children Mike Webber of Gahlgren and Kim (Rob) Brown of Mt. Vernon and grandchildren Zachary Jines, Jake Jines, and Blake Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Doris Karcher, and brother Charlie Cross.
Services for Joann Webber will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Harre Funeral Home in Dahlgren with Pastor Brad Sloan officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (September 1st) at the funeral home. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Dahlgren.
