Willis D. Francis, 95, of Prairie City, Illinois and formerly of Macedonia, IL, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Prairie City, IL.
He was born August 21, 1925 in Benton, IL to Eli Webb and Mazie Margaret Ann (Holman) Francis. Willis was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he worked as a truck driver with the Dealers Transit Company in Chicago, IL. Willis was a past member of American Legion Post 106, VFW Post 1376, McLeansboro Elks Lodge and Eagles Aerie.
Willis is survived by one son, Terry Lee Francis of Peoria, IL; two daughters: Billie Jean Test of Peoria, IL and Willa D. Campen of Hudson, FL; and one sister, Judy Faye Risius of Bartonville, IL. Eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife Shelby Jean Francis; three sisters and one grandchild.
