Ivan Glenearl Borah, 85, of Fairfield, died at 12:30am on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL. He had worked for Airtex Products as a carpenter for 36 years.
Ivan was born on May 24, 1935, in Wayne County, IL, to Glen and Agnes (Feller) Borah. On June 14, 1962, he married Linda M. (Short) Borah.
Survivors include his wife Linda Borah of Fairfield, two sons Timothy (Rebecca) Borah of Covington, KY, and David (Ridonna) Borah of Lakeland, TN, three grandchildren William Borah, Andrew Borah, and Peter Borah, two brothers Robert Borah of Kenasaw, GA and Gary (Dianna) Borah of Waskom, TX, two sisters Vivian Strubble of Fairfield, and Janet Towns of Cisne, God-children Jerry, Heidi, Jr, Kali, Max, and Abbi Johnston, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 12pm on Saturday, December 12th, at Maple Hill Cemetery with full military rites provided by Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW. A public visitation will be held at 11am at the graveside. Memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church food pantry and will be accepted at the graveside or at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
