Perry Lee Goldman, 86, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, died Friday, January 1, 2021, at Oakview Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Carmel. He was born March 5, 1934, in Cowling, Illinois, the son of Clyde E. and Ruth (McGill) Goldman. He was married to Leila “Jean” (Mattoni) Goldman on December 12, 1962, and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2019.
Perry was a nurse and retired from over 20 years of active duty in the United States Army, where he served as a medic. He enjoyed music (Rod Stewart to Frank Sinatra), and studying the Bible. He preferred to keep to himself, but he had a sense of humor to those who knew him.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife; sisters Macel, Dorothy, and Vera; brothers Don, Arnold, Conrad, and Clyde H.
Graveside Military Service will be at 10 am, Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville is in charge of arrangements.
