Mike Borah – Fairfield

55-year-old Mike Borah of Fairfield, died at 12:04pm on Tuesday, February 16 at his residence. He had worked for several local factories and, most recently, had worked as Direct Support Personnel for Career Development and was the night custodian for New Hope School.

Mike was  born on February 20, 1965, in Fairfield, to Mickey and Kaye (Vaughn) Borah.

Survivors include his parents Mickey and Kaye Borah, his life partner Shelly Borah, one son Wyatt Borah, two daughters Emily (Logan) Meriwether and Grace Borah (Jake Pollard), all of Fairfield, one grandchild Bodhi Meriwether, one sister Kelli Hixenbaugh of Fairfield, nieces and nephews Elissa Suddarth, Heather Suddarth, Meagan Borah, Madison Borah, Tayler Joslin, Tallen Hixenbaugh, Alek Hixenbaugh, Adilynn Hixenbaugh, and Olivia Vaughan. He was preceded in death by two brothers Christopher Borah and Matt Borah, one sister Michelle Borah, maternal grandparents Georgia and Emil Vaughn, and paternal grandparents Sylvia and Wayne Borah.

Funeral services for Mike Borah will be at 1pm on Monday, February 22nd, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. The family requests masks be worn at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the Educational Fund for Mike’s grandchild and future grandchildren and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
