Judith Ellen Johnson – Collinsville, IL

Judith Ellen Johnson born March 5, 1942 to Merrel and Vivian (Nee Wheatley) Parrish died March 10th at her home in Collinsville, Illinois.

Judith grew up in Washington Park, Illinois. She married John Waller Johnson November 18th, 1958.  She was a retired Self Employed Truck Dispatcher and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wood River, Wood River, IL.

Surviving are her 4 children: David (Patti) of Grantfork, Illinois,  Daughter, Carolyn (Tom) Plogue of Greenville, Illinois, John (Adrian) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and George (Melissa) Johnson of Kearney, Missouri;  a brother Rick (Debbie) Parrish, ten grandchildren: Angela (Michelle) Johnson, Amanda Endicott, Tim (Ashley) Endicott, Tyler (Kassy) Beel, Addison Duke, (mother Janice Duke), Courtney Johnson, Anna Lee Johnson, Christian Taylor, SayJe Taylor, Stephanie Seenstra, Six great-grandchildren: Asher, Aiden, Ashleigh, Christiana, Ryder, and Phoenix. Three nieces: Holly (Brian) Embley, Bethany Parrish, Maleri Parrish: One nephew: Dennis Ralph Johnson, One grand nephew: Blaine Embley, two grand nieces: Misty Johnson and Anna Embley.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, four grandchildren: Jason, David Lee Jr, Breanna, Christopher, One nephew: Lucas Parrish

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Leonard Pye officiating.  Visitation will be held Saturday, March 13 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Old Hickory Hill Cemetery near Broughton, IL.  Memorials may be made to the Old Hickory Hill Cemetery fund and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home.
