48-year-old Rodger Dale Groves of Fairfield, died at 12:26AM on Saturday, April 10 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was a laborer. Rodger was born in Decatur, Illinois on September 5, 1972 to Alva Lee and Grace (Carter) Groves. He married LaDonna Henson on March 5, 2015.
Rodger is survived by his wife- LaDonna Groves of Fairfield; daughter- Holly (Jimmy) Lurz of Fairfield; 4 grandchildren; brothers- Russell Groves of Aurora CO, and Bobby Groves of Olney; sister- Louise Laite of Omaha IL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews also survive.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents, sisters- Edna Mardis and Viola Yocum, and brother- Alva C. Groves.
Rodger’s body will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home to help with cremation expenses.
