18-year-old Alexis Jade MaKenzi Sargent of Fairfield, died on Friday, April 30 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was a member of the FCHS class of 2021 and worked at TTT Designs in Fairfield. Alexis was born in Canton IL, on May 25, 2002, to Jonathon Sargent and Jessi Brady. She was a self-taught, naturally talented artist who loved band, her friends, family, and God. Alexis was also a member of the Canaan Bridge Church.
Alexis is survived by her father-Jonathan (Heather) Sargent of Fairfield; mother- Jessi (Carl) Wright of Glasford IL; brothers- AJ Gonzalez, Kaleb Gonzalez, Israel Sargent, Kainen Postin, Jordon Pollitt, and Layne Wright; sisters- Jailyn Gonzalez, LaTesha Moore, Sara Gonzalez, Jessi Wright, Kalli Wright, and Serina Skaggs; paternal grandparents- Richard and Joanne Sargent of Lebanon OR, and Debbie and Lyle Walters of Havana IL; maternal grandparents- Regina McFarland of Peoria IL, and Royce Brady of Banner, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 8 at Canaan Bridge Church west of Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Friday, May 7 at the church.
Memorials may be made to the family to contribute to a memorial scholarship for Art and Band students in Alexis’ name and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
