4-year-old Zyla Darlene Brown of Ewing, died at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 3 at home.
Zyla was born on March 25, 2017 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Darin Ray Brown II and Jasmine Lea (Farny). She loved playing with her sister and cousins and had the biggest joy with the smallest things! She loved to run, jump and play and loved for her Daddy to read her Bible to her. She loved time with her whole family! Zyla attended Potters Way Non-Denominational Church in Ewing and Dahlgren Baptist Church in Dahlgren.
Survivors include her father: Darin Ray Brown II of Ewing; mother: Jasmine Farny; sister: Ella Brown; paternal grandparents: Darin Brown and wife Sissy of Mt. Vernon; maternal grandparents: Jeremy Farny and wife Becky of Dahlgren; paternal great-grandparents: Danny Brown and wife Vicki of McLeansboro; maternal great-grandfather: Tim Mostyn of Dahlgren; aunts and uncles: B.J. Webb of McLeansboro, Mark Brown (wife Shannon) of McLeansboro, Jordan Farny of Dahlgren, Chase Rodgers and Dezaraye Brown of Mt. Vernon, Jade Farny of McLeansboro, and Lana Wilkerson and husband Josh of Dahlgren.
Zyla was preceded in death by her great-grandmother: Marsha Mostyn; great-grandmother: Leisa “Darlene” Webb.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 7 at Harre Funeral Home with Pastors Roger Webb, Bennie Webb, and Bo Sloan officiating. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Macedonia. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 7 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted by the family of Zyla or accepted at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
