Ronald Dean Fryman – Bone Gap

Ronald Dean Fryman, 73, of Bone Gap, IL. Passed away on October 30, 2021, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL. He was born October 22, 1948, in Louisville, KY. to Ralph and Bremalane (Hill) Fryman. Ronald married Loretta Hocking on October 21, 1977, in Louisville, KY and she survives.

Ronald attended Wabash School in Ellery, IL and Edwards County High School in Albion, IL and graduated high school in 1967. After graduating from high school, he worked for Dale Metcalf before joining the Navy in October of 1968 and serving until July of 1969. After returning home he attended Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, IL, graduating with an associate degree in telecommunications. Ronald worked for over 30 years as an over the road truck driver, eventually becoming an owner operator and named his company R.L. Fryman Trucking. He continued to drive until his health began to fail and retired in December of 2016. After retirement Ron and Loretta took a much-needed vacation to California to see his Uncle Bruce and Aunt Lilly in 2018.

He was a member of the Ellery Christian Church.

Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loretta Fryman, one son; Dustin (Meghan) Fryman, Haubstadt, IN, one daughter; Lalia Melchor, Mt. Carmel, IL, five grandchildren; Aiden Fryman, Isaac Fryman, Ava Fryman of Haubstadt, Lena Melchor and Matthew Melchor of Mt. Carmel, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Lila and Edwin Fewkes and family, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Donovan and Barb Hocking, Sister-in-law; Donna Hocking and family and Aunt Lily Fryman and Crystal.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Bremalane (Hill) Fryman, Uncle Bruce Fryman and brother-in-law Burton Hocking

Visitation and viewing: Friday November 5, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL.

Funeral; Friday November 5, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL. Military rites to follow the funeral service at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to help with the grandchildren’s education. Checks should be made payable to Loretta Fryman.

Interment: Will be at a later date and time.
