64-year-old Roy Eugene “Gene” Cravens, of Villa Park, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 19, 2021. Gene passed away at the Seasons Hospice Care in Naperville, Illinois.
Gene was born June 21, 1957 in Fairfield. He was the son of Roy Lewis and Nova (Tyler) Cravens. Gene grew up in Fairfield, following High School graduation, Gene moved to Northern Illinois, attended college and became an IT analyst with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Gene is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, his grandparents, B.B. & Jala Tyler, and Roy & Alberta Weedon and a sister Linda.
Funeral services for Gene Cravens will be held at the Real Life Church in Fairfield on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro Robert Koker officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Real Life Church and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home or Real Life Church.
