Juanita Aurelia Medler, 68 of Fairfield passed away at 2:37 PM, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Born on June 24, 1953, in Tucson, AZ to Frank and Ramona (Hernandez) Castañeda, she had been the literacy development technician of the Adult Volunteer Literacy Program at Frontier Community College.
Juanita is survived by daughters Carol (Dustin) Tannahill of Barnhill, IL and Misty (Justin) Titzer of Fairfield, son Austin (Kayley) Medler of Mt. Erie, granddaughter Destiny (Levi) Marsh, father Frank Castañeda of Ignacio, CO, mother Ramona (Pete) Quintana of Sacramento, CA, brothers Frank Castañeda of Anaheim, CA and Petey Quintana of Sacramento, CA, sisters Patricia Becerra of Bullhead, AZ, Cruz Muir of Ignacio, CO, Roxanne Gomez of Sacramento, CA, and Josephine Burlison of Middleton, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Juanita Medler will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, December 21st at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with visitation from 11 AM until the time of service. She will be cremated following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to help with funeral expenses or to Frontier Community College for the Adult Volunteer Literacy Program and will be accepted at the funeral home.
