Judith K. Paul, 81, formerly of Fairfield, died at 12:35am on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at SIH Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL. Before retiring, she had worked as a front desk receptionist for Southern Illinois Primary Care Associates in Fairfield.
Judy was born on June 30, 1940, in Fairfield, to Byron and Helen (Bailey) Lousig-Nont. On October 10, 1959, she married James R. Paul, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1992.
Survivors include two sons Keith (Zenaida) Paul of Deerfield, IL, and Jamie Paul of Belleville, IL, two daughters Tara (Tom) Woods of West Frankfort, IL, and Joyce (Dennis) Lanahan in Indianapolis, IN, seven grandchildren Alicia Allen, Chad Lanahan, Holly Stern, Taylor Gossett, Mallory Allen, Lauren Allen, and Landon Brooks, eight great grandchildren Carter, Colin, Charlie, Brady, Kennedy, Aiden, Cohen, and Leighton, two brothers Larry (Mary) Lousig-Nont of Fairfield, and John (Mark) Sanders of Titusville, FL, one sister Beverly Robertson of Sims, IL, one Brother-in-Law Eldon Paul of Auxvasse, MO, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband James Paul.
Funeral services for Judy Paul will be at 11am on Friday, December 31st at Mt. Zion Church in Fairfield, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, December 30th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorial donations can be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund.
