Lloyd “Wayne” Brown, 89, of Cisne, Illinois passed away at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Monday, February 7, 2022. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Wayne was born October 8, 1932, in Louisville, Illinois to Orville and Grace (Erwin) Brown. He married Betty Ann Morris May 28, 1955.
Wayne served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Decatur City Police Officer and later became a minister.
Wayne is survived by one son Gary Brown and Kevin Leonard of Evansville, Indiana; two daughters Verna (Rick) Smith of Cisne, Illinois and Reada (Jeff) Mitchell of Johnsonville, Illinois; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife Betty, a grandson Brad Smith, his parents, two brothers Deke and Orville, and one sister Jeanie Bay.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne. Interment will follow in Cisne Cemetery, Cisne, Illinois. Visitation will be 11:00 am to time of service on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Activity Fund at Cisne Rehab and Health Care Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
