Virginia L. Ellis, 101, of Fairfield passed away at 8:45AM on Friday March 11, 2022, at Aperion Care. She was a homemaker, had retired from the Fairfield Garment Factory, worked on the Jasper Township Election Board and was a member of Kings Chapel Church. Virginia was born in Wayne County on June 24, 1920, to Thomas R. and Lulu (Mann) Cannon.
Virginia is survived by daughters- Ruth (Delbert) Burkett of Ellery, Kay (Ray) Huff of Creal Springs, and Brenda Watson of Fairfield; daughter in law- Wanda Ellis of Fairfield; grandchildren- Melody Burkett, Debra Collier, Brett Ellis, Michelle Fields, Bart New, Jason New, Trenton Watson, and Braden Watson; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Lowell Ellis, Son- Gary Ellis, brothers- Frank Cannon and Thomas R Cannon JR, sisters- Martha Boushard, Mary Griswold, Faye Kline, and Pauline Gash.
Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Thursday March 17, 2022, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will from 11AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
