Annette K. Harrison, 64, of Mt. Vernon, died at 11:05am on Friday, June 3, 2022, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. She had been a homemaker.
Annette was born on June 8, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, to Henry “Ed” and Geraldine Wardwell. On December 30, 1977, she married the love of her life, Dennis Harrison, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Annette had been the 4-H leader of the Huckleberries, had served on the WADI Board of Directors, and had worked for Opportunities for Access. She was a member of the Arrington Prairie “Bailey” General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters Stacy and Roger Chatman of Wayne City, IL, Amanda (Jason) Wheeler and Haley (Jose’) Rivera both of Mt. Vernon, IL, five grandchildren Charlotte and Asher Chatman, Luke and Stella Wheeler, and Mateo Rivera, three sisters Janet Ketchum and JoAnn Wardwell both of Holt, MI, and Marlies Fitchner of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis, two brothers Dennis Wardwell and Edgar “Butch” Wardwell, and a brother-in-law Jerry Ketchum.
Funeral services for Annette Harrison will be at 11am on Tuesday, June 7th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial in Koontz Cemetery.
