Montie E. Tucker, 84, of Fairfield, made her transition at 4:45pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at her home.
Montie was born on April 12, 1938, in Oswego, NY, to F.W. and Melvia (Booker) McDermott. She married Wilburn R. Tucker, who preceded her in death.
Montie was the first woman promoted to District Sales Manager at Adria Pharmaceuticals and was the winner of many awards. She was the president of the Brandon, MS Garden Club and was listed in the Who’s Who in Sales and Marketing, 1987. She had been a member of the Victory Outreach Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include four daughters Gwendolyn (George) Staab of Athens, IL, Crystal (Robert) Rall of Jackson, MS, Julie Shake of Los Angeles, CA, and Jennifer (George) Moulden of Alton, IL, thirteen grandchildren Isaac Lasley, Caty Staab, John (Sally) Staab, Audrey (Michael) Spurgeon, Olivia Staab, Daniel Staab, Jesse Staab, Elijah Staab, Isabelle Staab, Christopher Mouldon, Kellie Peipart, Deseree (Brandon) Touchet, and John William (Mandy) Martin, seven great grandchildren, a sister Lorena Ritter of KY, along with two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilburn, two sisters Marsha McDermott and Lucille Begley, and one brother Edwin McDermott.
