Madison County Woman Going to IDOC for Violation Probation on Forgery

A Madison County woman is going to prison for three years for violating her probation by committing forgery. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s office prosecuted Silk
Lumpkins, who pleaded guilty in July to state benefits fraud . Raoul claims she fraudulently obtained more than 100-thousand in benefits from the Chicago Housing Authority. She was placed on probation and ordered to pay restitution. In Cook County Court last week, Lumpkins admitted to violating her probation by forging the cashier’s check she used to pay the 20-thousand-dollars in restitution.
