67 year old Braidwood resident, Allen Dale “Boomer” Morris, passed away at his Braidwood, IL residence on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
Allen was born June 19, 1955 to Henry Edgar and Bonnie L. (Lambrich) Morris in Norfolk, VA. He had worked at Layne Western, as a heavy equipment operator in the drilling industry for over 30 years. Allen was a proud member of Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He is survived by his girlfriend Theresa Duval of Braidwood, IL and a son, Zachary Morris of Nashville, TN.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bonnie Sue Brooks and brother, Randy Lee Morris.
A Celebration of Life for Allen Dale “Boomer” Morris will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. in Bob Boyles Hall at the Frontier Community College. Graveside services for Allen will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Maple Hill Cemetery.
