Illinois State Fire Marshal is awarding one-point-five-million-dollars in grants to 64 fire departments and EMS providers across the state. The funding is for the purchase of small firefighting and ambulance equipment. In our area, the Olney Fire Department received a grant of $25,526.32. The West Salem Fire Department received a grant of $7,183.80.
