The Lawrence County Board approved an ordinance on regulating cannabis dispensaries. The central point of the discussion revolved around the proximity to churches for any proposed dispensary in the county. County officials voted that dispensaries must be at a minimum of 500 feet away from a church, 1,000 feet from a school, and 1500 feet from another dispensary.
