Danny (Dan) Leon Miller, 74, of Fairfield, IL passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.
Dan was born on March 7, 1949, one of nine children born to LaVerne and Violet Miller. His family moved frequently, following jobs in the oil field business, an industry he himself would work in through his adult years. He married the love of his life, Nancy, on June 1, 1979, and together they made their home in Fairfield.
Always ready with a smile, helping hand, and generous spirit, Dan taught his children the value of hard work and lived out his faith through his actions. He loved his family with his whole heart and spent his life showing it, not only as a husband and dad, but as a proud and doting grandpa as well.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Nancy; children Melissa (Chase) Curd of Barnhill, IL and Mike (Sarah) Miller of Fairfield, IL; grandchildren Brielle, Clara, & Locke Curd and Gavin & Bradley Grubb; a brother Jack (Linda) Miller of Mediapolis, IA and a sister Patty (Charlie) Kinney of Richland, IN, brother and sister-in-laws, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and six of his siblings.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Ellen Moore United Methodist Church or the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association and will be accepted at Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois.
