Fairfield Municipal Airport Manager, Travis Williams, presented the council with information regarding a ramp expansion and drainage project at the airport. The expansion will allow additional aircraft parking and will alleviate crowding when aircraft are fueling. The drainage portion of the project will address a drainage issue that occurs during heavy rain. The project will be mostly funded through a grant that will pay $762,00 of the project with the city’s cost coming in at $22,604. The council unanimously approved the project.
