Carol Ann (Galbraith) Fearn, 86, Cisne

Carol Ann (Galbraith) Fearn, age 86 of Cisne, IL, passed away at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Cisne Rehab Center.

Carol was born on October 10, 1936, to the late Eldon and Doris (Daughenbaugh) Galbraith of Johnsonville, IL. She married Jack Fearn on July 10, 1955; he survives and resides in Cisne, IL.

Carol graduated from Cisne High School in 1954. She was a long-time member of Cisne United Methodist Church and Cornerstone Community Church, later in life.

Carol’s life was centered around her family and their farm in rural Cisne. She was a 4-H Leader and former member of the Wayne County 4-H Federation Board. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed antiques- collecting Flow Blue dishes and Transferware. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and canning. Carol was a respected Breeder of Basset Hounds and over the years, raised over 1200 Basset puppies.

She was survived by 4 children: Neil Fearn and wife Debbie of Albion, IL, Paul Fearn and wife Lisa of Cisne, IL, Susan Qualls and husband Mike Qualls of Springfield, MO and Andrew Fearn and wife Kerry of Charleston, IL; five grandchildren: Karlie Bayley and husband Andy of Albion, IL, Seth Fearn and wife Meghan of Albion, IL, Jennifer (Qualls) Eisenbath and husband Ryan of Conroe, TX, Amy (Qualls) Landrigan and husband Matt of DesMoines, IA and Jarod Fearn and wife Amanda of Cisne, IL; eleven great grand-children: Amelia Fearn, Felicity Fearn, Grant Fearn, Titus Fearn, Lainey Fearn and Myles Fearn all of Albion, IL, Margaret Eisenbath, Jacqueline Eisenbath and Charlotte Eisenbath all of Conroe, TX and Clayton Fearn and Lyla Fearn both of Cisne, IL; a brother, Joe Galbraith and wife Sherry of Glen Carbon, IL and a sister Christine Stitts and husband John of Valparaiso, IN.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara Sue Goule.
