Travis Eugene Cross, 43, of Dahlgren, IL passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL.
Travis was born April 19, 1980 in Harrisburg, IL to his parents Leslie Cross and Sheryl (Lemmon) Moss. Travis worked as a trucker at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon, IL and he was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side and riding ATV’s, listening to music, and hanging out with his many friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children.
Travis is survived by his father Leslie Cross of Dahlgren, IL; his mother Sherry (Larry) Moss of Mt. Vernon, IL; a son Rylan Cross, 2 daughters: Brianna Cross and Brooklyn Cross, an uncle Jerry (Theresa) Lemmon of Tullahoma, TN; an aunt Doris (Ralph) Trotter of Dahlgren, a special friend Julie Rawls of Dahlgren, 7 cousins, and several close friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, his paternal grandparents, and an uncle David Lemmon.
Funeral services for Travis Eugene Cross will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Gholson Funeral Home of Dahlgren, IL with Pastor Ralph Wilton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. Interment will follow the funeral service at Richardson Hill Cemetery in Dahlgren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist Travis’ children, and may be made to the care of Sheryl Moss.
