Portions of Carmi will be in the dark tonight as a planned power outage is scheduled during the overnight hours. The outage is scheduled to take place starting at 11 PM and run through 7 AM tomorrow morning. The reason crews are scheduling the power outage is for the replacement of a power pole that a truck ran into earlier in the day today (May 3rd). The areas affected by the outage include Commerce Street, Industrial Drive, Falcon Avenue, College Avenue, and Main Street between Commerce and Jansen Ford.
