FCHS Board Meets Tonight

Several things are on the agenda for the Fairfield Community High School Board this evening.

The board looks to approve the consent agenda.

Under old business, the board will look to pass a resolution, adopting the fiscal year 23 budget amendment for the district and look to pass 2nd reading on updated board policies. The policies range from qualifications, terms and duties of board officers to superintendent and the negotiation process, purchases and contracts, criminal history reviews, letters to applicant’s current/former employees, hiring process of employees, abuse and neglected children reporting, personal technology and social media usage and conduct, personnel records, and student teachers. Also under old business, the board will look to approve the FCHS Yearbook for the upcoming year.

Under new businesses, the board will look to approve fees for the upcoming school year, motion to abate $53,338.10 from working cash to operations and maintenance, accept the resignation of Holton Sandiford as Boys Tennis Coach, and take up first reading of the staff handbook.

There will be a closed session during the meeting. In the session, officials list considerations of pay increases for non-certified employees, a special education 1-on-1 aide, a scholastic society sponsor, an assistant cheer coach, and the superintendent of the school.  Following the closed session, open votes will be taken on some of all of the items discussed in the closed session.

The School Board meets in the study hall room at the high school at 6 PM.
