The Fairfield Fire Department responded to 55 calls in the month of June.
Of the calls, 44 were for EMS assist, 3 were for MVC calls, and 2 were for vehicle fires. One call each was responded to for stalled elevator, assisting other emergencies, unauthorized burning, automatic alarm, CO call, and no incident.
Other activities that the fire department participated in during June include Extrication training and extrication tool demo, Lithium ion battery training for safety standdown, Three members attended Fire College at U of I Fire Service Institute, Presentation at Kids-in-motion, Participate in Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser at WalMart, Attend MABAS executive board meeting, Update meeting with OSFM, and Attend pre-planning meeting for area disaster drill to be held later this month.
