The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for the counties in the WFIW listening area that are along the I-57 Corridor
Marion, Jefferson, and Franklin Counties are under that excessive heat watch thru Wednesday Evening of next week.
Officials with the National Weather Service say that temperatures will be high with heat index values expected to be at 105 or greater each day.
The hot weather according to the weather service will continue thru late next week.
