A boil order has been issued for a portion of the City of Fairfield. Residents on West Douglas Street from 1st to Southwest 3rd street are on the order until further notice. Officials say water needs to be boiled for 5 minutes prior to human consumption. The boil order will be in place until test results on the water have returned.
