The City of Fairfield is reminding residents of the upcoming Large Item Pickup. That pickup is set for Friday of this week. Officials remind residents that allowed items include 1 large piece of furniture. Some examples are a regular couch, a loveseat, a recliner, a mattress/box spring, a dining room table, a dresser or an entertainment center. Smaller furniture items can be set out as well, but will need to be no larger than a 4’x4′ pile. Some examples are kitchen chairs, office chair, lamp or end tables. 2 types of major appliances are accepted. Those appliances are dishwashers and hot water heaters. Officials say that all boxes need to be broken down and put in your tote provided for weekly pickup. It is recommended to set your items out Thursday evening for early Friday pickup.
