Wayne County Republicans gathered last night at Willow Creek for their Lincoln Day Dinner. Attendees enjoyed a dinner, catered by Bare Bones BBQ (Matt Kinney). Candidates at the national, state and local level provided remarks. They included US Congressional candidates Mike Bost and Darren Bailey, Illinois Senate candidate Terri Bryant , Illinois House candidates Dave Severin and Angela Evans, and Wayne County Circuit Clerk candidates Ellen Sitzes and Georgiana Fletcher. Other local Republican office holders who are unopposed or not up for election were also recognized. They included States Attorney Kevin Kakac, County Clerk Lizann Woodrow, County Treasurer Yvette Anderson, County Coroner Carrie Dagg, and County Sheriff Chris Otey. Several Wayne County Board members were also in attendance at the event. A crowd estimated at well over 200 attended the event.
