The IECC Board of Trustees during their February Meeting Tuesday approved a rate increase for tuition. The increase is around 22.7 percent and is the first tuition hike in the IECC since 2021. The measure passed 5-1 with Trustee John Brooks voting against the measure. Brooks made mention of the amounts of reserves in the bank while Chancelor Gower made mention of facilities updates that are needed as well as pay increases needed for their faculty and staff. The new rate will be $135 per credit hour, up $25 from the previous rate of $110 per credit hour.
