77-year-old Albion resident Dora K. Briggs died at 7:34 a.m. Monday, March 27 at her son’s home. She was a farmer, had worked at P.N. Hirsch, the Farmer’s Store, Burger Bar, LaMancha, the Old Smoke House, a rest home and had been a bartender.
Survivors include siblings Ralph (Yvonne) Stone and Lulu (Eugene) Stone Kelsey; sons Virgil (Kim) Briggs, Jahue (Brenda) Briggs; daughter Jessie (Ray) Briggs Johnson; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dora K. Briggs will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial at Union Cemetery northeast of Albion.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1 until the time of service at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.
Memorials may be made to the Bone Gap Volunteer Fire Department, and envelopes will be accepted at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
