June Dozier, 87 of Enfield, passed away Thursday evening at the Enfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 23, 1931 in White County, the daughter of Lyle and Louise (York) Melvin. She was married to Lawrence “Shorty: Dozier on September 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
June was a member of the Springerton Christian Church where she was active in the Ladies Friendship Circle and quilting.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Teri) Dozier of Enfield; grandchildren, Jeremy (Misty) Dozier, Angela (Rick) Wilson, Jayla (PJ) Boone and Jade (Leah) Dozier; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirly (Warney) Eckles of Enfield, and Martha Muehlenbine of Springerton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Randel Dozier and her sister, Nena Dye.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday July 1, 2018 at the Springerton Christian Church with Ron Lamp officiating. Burial will be in Hammack Cemetery.
