AW Ashley, 90, of Crossville, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi, Illinois. AW was a mechanic and well known in the Crossville area as proprietor of Ashley’s Garage in Crossville. He was a World War II Navy veteran and member of the VFW and the First Baptist Church in Carmi.
Survivors include daughter Teresa Weaver and her husband J.R. Williams of Carmi; grandchildren Teresa (Chris) Denham of Princeton, Indiana, Christina (Tyler) Woolsey of Springfield, Illinois, Amy Lee (Zeff) Brunkow of Olney, Illinois; great grandchildren Mikkaela, Ashley, Alaina, Olivia, Max and Isabel.
Funeral services for AW Ashley will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial and military rites at the White County Memorial Gardens near Carmi.
Visitation is 5-7 pm, Friday, January 22nd at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.
